We are honored to count them among our Community of Leaders and look forward to benefiting from the wisdom and perspective they bring. 

  


SUSAN BALDWIN

Dir. of Values and Policy

Retired Senior Regional Planner

Susan Baldwin is an urban planner, recently retired from SANDAG where she worked as a senior regional planer on land use and housing issues for 27 years. Her interest also include historic preservation and the preservation of San Diego's backcountry.

    



TRISH BOAZ

Chair of Back Country KAN

Executive Director, San Dieguito River Valley

Trish is the Executive Director of the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy.  She brings over 30 years of experience in conservation and environmental protection.  Trish has established positive relationships with government agencies, business entities, and residents of San Diego. She previously worked for the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation, where she oversaw the implementation of the Multiple Species Conservation Program coordinating the County’s acquisition of over 7,100 acres of open space lands. Trish also volunteers as a crisis interventionist with the City of San Diego Police Department.

    


SUZANNE LAWRENCE

Dir. of KAN Coordination and Development

Consultant

Suzanne Lawrence is a San Diego native who has spent the last three decades facilitating policy makers, academic institutions, government agencies, and industry leaders in defining and achieving success. Her work has focused on fostering strategic intent, building resource development capacity, cultivating collaborative partnerships, and demystifying organizational dynamics.

     


ELIZABETH OCAMPO VIVERO
Chair of Bi-National Border KAN


Director of Planning & Urban Design, M.W. Steele Group


Elizabeth is the Director of Planning and Urban Design at M.W. Steele Group, a local planning and architecture firm based in Barrio Logan. Her experience includes participating in multiple aspects of local planning, focusing on land use, urban design, community outreach, and implementation. Prior to joining M.W. Steele Group, Elizabeth worked as a Senior Planner for the City of San Diego Planning Department and was assigned to various communities in central and south San Diego. Elizabeth is also a board member of the San Diego Chapter of the American Planning Association and is part of its Diversity and Equity Subcommittee.
