Since 1961, Citizens Coordinate for Century 3 (C-3) has sought and advocated for the highest standards in urban design, community planning, and access to public open space, As a member-supported non-profit organization, we bring together residents and professionals to jointly craft solutions to the challenges we face in our city and region.
OUR MISSION AND PURPOSE
C-3 is dedicated to preserving and improving our region's built and natural environments. Our objective is to influence critical policy, planning, and design through education, empowerment, and advocacy.
MISSION VALLEY UPDATE
C-3 is preparing to organize a new series of community meetings to identify concerns with the recently published Draft Environmental Impact Report for the project. We will amass and integrate comments received from C-3 members and from community partners, and submit them to SDSU. At the same time, we will continue to press the City of San Diego to consider our previous input in its ongoing negotiations with SDSU.
MISSION BAY UPDATE
In early 2019, C-3 partnered with the San Diego Audubon Society, UCSD Natural Reserve System, and Scripps Institute of Oceanography to urge the City to pause the planning process for Mission Bay's DeAnza Cove and ensure that a robust restoration of wetlands is considered in addition to improving recreational opportunities and developments. The C-3 Mission Bay Park Advocacy team is preparing a 4 year strategy to align with the City of San Diego’s current lease agreements specific to the DeAnza and Campland properties.
